“It was a cozy place in a beautiful location on the High Street of Burford. There was a convenient car park. We had two different rooms, but they were very clean, has excellent bathroom suites and were in good repair. Breakfast was excellent; I couldn't finish the full English. We also had dinner and were given a complimentary bottle of wine from the owner. The building is old and quaint, which is much of its charm. It was a typically Cotswold building, which means that room sizes and shapes are not what the typical American hotel would have, which is why you go to this kind of place. I would highly recommend this hotel; Burford has lovely walks and is right in the center of things for the Cotswolds and Oxford.”

“Very friendly staff, good reasonably priced food and we were offered our first drink free with our evening meal. We were allowed to check in ahead of our 'check-in' time as our room was ready. Breakfast was well-cooked and tasty and the hotel had parking which was very useful in the center of Burford where parking can be difficult. Real ales, great local cider and good wine.”

The hotel was well located in an idyllic country town. It was quiet and welcoming. On arrival we were shown to our room (which was over the back so very quiet) and the manager explained that our bathroom was next door but we had to access it from the corridor. It was however, a private bathroom so we weren't too bothered, and we were probably the last people to check in, so understandably it was first come first served on the bathroom front! The manager gave us free drinks to make up for this which was very unexpected but very welcome. He was very attentive all evening, as were all the staff that we saw. The food was superb and we would definitely go back.
